Galatasaray winger and reported long-term Chelsea target Bruma has been linked with a January move to AS Monaco.
The Portuguese winger has previously been dubbed ‘the next Cristiano Ronaldo’ and whatever you think about that particular label, there is no doubt the 19-year-old has plenty of talent.
Bruma was first linked with Chelsea when he played for Sporting Lisbon, with some reports claiming the winger was desperate for a move to Stamford Bridge.
However, when he did make a move it was – somewhat surprisingly given the previous reports – to Turkey, where he began well before suffering a knee ligament injury.
Now back playing again, Bruma continued to be linked with both Chelsea and Everton over the summer. But Portuguese newspaper A Bola claims it is Monaco who are preparing a move this winter.
The report claims that while the Ligue 1 club will face competition from a number of Premier League clubs, they are confident they can complete a deal by offering around €18million for the player.
Considering the young players who already cannot get a game at Chelsea, it is unlikely the Blues will make a move for Bruma now. And yet do not rule it out entirely, because if he reaches his potential, the young wide-man could become one of the most exciting such players in Europe.
