Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has hinted that the Premier League title race could be between the Blues, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side drew 1-1 with Chelsea on Sunday to ensure they remained in touching distance of the current league leaders, but the Belgian international believes the Gunners should not be discounted.

In quotes published by Sky Sports, Kompany said, “It is not fait to call it at the moment.

“First of all we are not even close to Chelsea yet (in the table). Secondly, I have seen good things from Chelsea but I have seen maybe better things from Arsenal so I guess it will all be about consistency and, with the Champions League, it will get messy around December.”

In other news, Talk Sport has picked up on reports from Italy that Roma midfielder Danielle De Rossi could miss the Champions League clash with City.

The Italian side travel to the Etihad Stadium next week and there is a suggestion De Rossi could be missing with a calf problem.
