A round up of news stories this morning about Arsenal.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says Danny Welbeck can become a top finisher at the club.
Welbeck bagged his first Premier League goal for his new club at Aston Villa over the weekend.
“He rushed a bit his finishing until now because he didn't score. It is more a nervous problem maybe because in training he scores goals like a real striker. He is a good finisher,” said Wenger.
Wenger has also revealed that German midfielder Mesut Ozil was always in his plans.
Ozil responded to recent criticism with arguably his best Arsenal performance for some time in the game against Villa.
“We have plenty of experienced players who are not playing at the moment and are top quality. But I felt as well that it was at the point where you have to show him (Ozil) that confidence is there. He showed as well that he can respond when he’s under scrutiny,” said the boss.
Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for Lyon striker Clinton N’Jie.
The Ligue One star could be available for a fee of around £800,000 should Wenger be interested in adding to his attack this winter.
The Mirror claims Arsene Wenger is interested in dipping back into his extensive knowledge of the French market.
