Reported Liverpool target Martin Odegaard has been speaking about apparent interest from Brendan Rodgers' side in an interview with Dagbladet Sport.
The attacking midfielder has made numerous headlines in recent times, after winning his first cap for Norway at just 15 and becoming a vital part of his club side Stromsgodset.
With a contract that expires in the summer of 2015, the player has been linked with a £10million switch to Anfield, not that those links have prompted the player to ditch his allegiance to his current club just yet.
“Liverpool are my favourite club,” Odegaard said. “That is not to say that I dream to play for them. I’m thriving at Stromsgodset and feel that I can develop myself right here.”
That may well be the case, but the youngster will have a big decision to make in the near future, when it comes to possibly signing a new deal in Norway or heading to pastures news.
He will no doubt have a whole host of top clubs fighting for his signature, and if he continues on his current trajectory, it may be some of the smartest business carried out in many a year if Liverpool can bring him to Anfield on the relative cheap.
