Fulham fans react on Twitter to Tigana rumours - "There can be no other candidate!"

Fulham are looking for a new manager after the sacking of Felix Magath, and club hero Jean Tigana is reportedly looking for a return to the club.

The last 14 months have been eventful to say the very least for Fulham. Firstly, Mohamed Al Fayed sold the club to American-based businessman Shahid Khan, who persisted with manager Martin Jol until December, where the Dutchman paid for poor results with his job.

Jol's compatriot Rene Meulensteen arrived at Craven Cottage as the club's new manager, but he lasted only two months before being replaced by German boss Felix Magath. The former Bayern Munich manager couldn't keep the Cottagers in the Premier League, and after just one point in seven games in the Championship, Magath became the third manager to be sacked under Khan's reign.

Now, Khan is looking to make another appointment in order to stabilise the club in the second tier following a dreadful start to the new campaign. A number of names have been linked with the club in the last few days, but none more interesting than Jean Tigana - the man who took Fulham up to the Premier League in 2001.

The Frenchman left West London in 2003 and has since had spells with Besiktas, Bordeaux and Shanghai Shenhua, but none have generated the success he had at Craven Cottage. The rumours of a potential return for Tigana has set Fulham fans in a frenzy, with some fans desperate for him to have a second spell at the club and some saying it would be a backwards move.

With that in mind, here are a number of tweets from Fulham fans over the potential of Tigana's return to Fulham.
