West Ham United chairman David Gold has been singing the praises of his team this morning following their win against Liverpool last night.
The Hammers got the better of the Merseyside outfit 3-1 at Boleyn Ground with a display that has been hailed by many.
Sam Allardyce’s side took the lead after just two minutes through Winston Reid and added a second four minutes later when Diafra Sakho found the target.
Raheem Sterling halved the deficit for Liverpool on 26 minutes, and the Reds did look dangerous in the second half (click here to read more).
However, West Ham defended brilliantly and got their just reward two minutes from full time when Morgan Amalfitano scored their third and final goal.
It was a great victory for the Hammers, and one that Gold has been raving about this morning.
That was one of the best overall performance I've seen since I've been at the club and it looks sustainable. dg— David Gold (@davidgold) September 21, 2014
