The Reds striker expressed his impatience on Twitter.
This must be one of Daniel Sturridge's most agonising periods out injured.
Since he left England duty with a thigh strain, his Liverpool side just haven't been the same without him.
First, a limp 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa at Anfield rang the alarm bells. A few days later, Brendan Rodgers' side managed a win in their first Champions League game of the season - but yet another limp performance hardly provided signs of encouragement.
By the end of the week, the Reds had suffered one more Premier League defeat - and, this time, it was a resounding one, as Liverpool lost 3-1 at West Ham United yesterday.
Compare and contrast that with a Liverpool side containing Sturridge. Rodgers' men lost 3-1 at Manchester City but, at the Etihad, that much would be expected of anyone.
Either side of that game, the Reds won 2-1 against Southampton and 3-0 at Spurs - the only clash in which Sturridge was partnered by Mario Balotelli up top.
It is understandable, then, that the 25-year-old is itching to get back to fitness ahead of next weekend's Merseyside derby at Anfield, when his side face Everton for the first time this season.
Can't wait till I'm fit...— Daniel Sturridge (@D_Sturridge) September 21, 2014
Liverpool supporters will no doubt feel the same...
