Arsenal defeated Aston Villa 3-0 at Villa Park this afternoon in a result that was just rewards for their dynamic performance in the Midlands.
After the dismal display against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League this result was a welcome return to form for Arsene Wenger's men - with their three goals coming within three minutes of each other.
The other bonuses came in the form of excellent displays from Mesut Ozil and Danny Welbeck, the latter scoring his first goal for the club.
So here are the best pictures from the game this afternoon...
Ozil, who has come into stick in recent weeks for his poor displays, was playing in his preferred central position and was excellent in almost everything he did. When slotted in by Welbeck Ozil made zero mistake in slotting the ball past Brad Guzan to make it 1-0.
Ozil soon turned provider, crossing for £16 million newbie Welbeck to bag his first Arsenal goal since sealing his move from Manchester United.
The next goal came just moments later, when Aly Cissokho turned Kieran Gibbs's effort into his own net with a wicked deflection.
Villa fans had little to be happy about after the game, but the cameo from Jack Grealish in the second half certainly had some fans excited. A virus has ripped through the Villa camp, so preparations for the game were certainly disrupted. Ashley Westwood had to oull out of the game just moments before kick off after becoming unwell.
And a good day was confirmed for Arsenal when Jack Wilshere entered the fray, allaying fears over the injury he picked up against Dortmund in midweek.
