Danny Welbeck has finally opened his account for Arsenal.
After being denied by the frame of the goal against Manchester City and failing to take his chances against Borussia Dortmund in midweek, the England international striker has broken his duck for the Gunners.
The 23-year-old’s first goal for the Gunners came against Aston Villa at Villa Park in the Premier League on Saturday.
Germany international playmaker and 2014 World Cup winner, Mesut Ozil, was the creator of the goal, releasing Welbeck with a wonderful ball for the former Manchester United striker to finish with ease.
That strike came in the 34th minute, just two minutes after Welbeck had provided the assist for Ozil’s opening goal of the match at Villa Park.
Welbeck struggled for goals during his time at United, but he has got off the mark for Arsenal in only his third appearance for the North London outfit.
