Newcastle fans react on Twitter to 2-2 draw with Hull City - "Big improvement"

St James Park

Newcastle United roared back from 2-0 down against Hull City to steal a point after two Papiss Cisse goals drew them level at St. James' Park.

A large amount of Newcastle United fans were disgruntled before kick off over the continuing reign of Alan Pardew as Magpies boss after their 4-0 thumping at the hands of Southampton a week ago - and their mood wasn't improved when Croatian striker Nikica Jelavic produced a stunning bicycle kick to hand Hull the lead on Tyneside just after half time.

With 20 minutes to play, Mohamed Diame made it two goals in his first two games for Hull and made it 2-0, but his compatriot Papiss Cisse rescued the game for Newcastle with a brace in the final fifteen minutes of the game - meaning Pardew is likely to remain as Newcastle manager for some time yet.

The result still leaves Newcastle without a win this season, and fans maintain that Pardew needs to go in order for the club to progress. Cisse's late double has rescued his boss despite having not scored since March, and fans were torn over whether today's draw was a good or a bad thing given Pardew's stay of execution.

Some fans still believe the club should be aiming for more than a 2-2 draw with Hull, some still questioned Pardew's decision making but some were hopeful of a rebirth for Cisse after his stunning escape act for the Magpies. With that, here are some of the best reactions from Newcastle fans on Twitter this evening.
