Arsenal may be struggling at the moment and had their worst game of the season on Tuesday, but Michael Owen backs them to pick up all three points against Aston Villa today.
The former Liverpool and Manchester United striker believes that the Gunners have enough quality to win at Villa Park in the Premier League clash this afternoon.
‘Two unbeaten sides face off at Villa Park and, despite their poor Champions League performance in Germany midweek, it is the visitors who I expect to take all three points back to North London’, the ex-England international wrote on Betvictor.com.
‘The Gunners are unbeaten in their last fifteen PL games at Villa Park and I think they can improve that sequence at the weekend. One interesting stat from the guys at Opta the Gunners have conceded a headed goal in all four PL games so far this season'.
Arsenal will be favourites on paper as they certainly have more quality and better players than Villa. However, it is Paul Lambert’s side who are in form and are higher than the Gunners in the Premier League table.
Having picked up 10 points from four matches, Villa are second in the league table, just two points behind leaders Chelsea. They can actually go top if they win today, as Chelsea are in action tomorrow.
Arsenal will head into the match on the back of a demoralising 2-0 away defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday. But that could just give them the motivation and determination they need to return to winning ways today.
