£30m to spend

Arsenal will have a big transfer kitty in January after their latest financial reports where revealed. Arsenal spent £78 million this summer on the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Danny Welbeck, Mathieu Debuchy and more.

However it is being revealed that they could have spent more and the board will back Wenger in the transfer market this winter.

The financial reports posted yesterday would suggest Arsenal have a spare £173.3 million in their bank account and the Daily Mail is reporting that £30 million of it will be available for player arrivals this summer.

The club are believed to be after a defensive midfielder, preferably one who can also play at centre back, and Wenger now has the backing to spend the cash in January.

Rabiot on the radar

Arsenal are however also after young star Adrien Rabiot. The club reportedly chased him in the summer after he made it clear he wanted to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

He is said to be available for just over £10 million and is also being linked with AS Roma, AC Milan and Juventus.

However Roma are believed to be the front-runners for the player after their sporting director Walter Sabbatini made it clear they will be chasing the player in January.
