A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has praised Federico Fazio and Benji Stambouli after the draw against Patizan in Serbia.
Both players made their Europa League debuts for the club as Spurs secured a 0-0 draw and their first point in the group stage.
“It was a tough game - It’s important not to lose these games, of course. It was difficult but we need to look forward and look at the positives, like Fazio and Stambouli making their first starts for us. They did very well,” said the boss.
Tottenham will lodge an official complaint with UEFA after anti-semitic banners were displayed during the game against Partizan.
Serbian fans unveiled the banner during the game, leaving Spurs outraged and with no option other than to report to European football’s governing body.
Spurs are expected to lodge the complaint before their Premier League game against West Brom this weekend.
Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has revealed his surprise at being able to sign Sandro.
The Beast, as he was affectionately know by Spurs fans, moved to QPR during the summer transfer window.
“I was surprised we were able to get him to be honest, and that he wasn't playing more. I think Tottenham turned down a big bid from Zenit just before the start of the season,” said Redknapp.
