Physical copies of Minecraft PS4 edition coming up next month.

Following a bit of a clunky digital launch for Minecraft on next gen, Sony are making some more definitive promises by announcing the Minecraft PS4 retail disc will be out in the shops from 7th October.

“To ensure you have the best Minecraft experience possible on the PS4” a day one patch will also be incoming on the same day Minecraft PS4 lands on store shelves. .

No prices for the retail version of Minecraft on PS4 have been given but the game is currently £17.99 ($19.99) if you're buying it for the first time digitally or £2.99 ($4.99) if you’re upgrading from the PS3 version on PSN.

Worlds created on PS3 can be moved across to the PS4 version, where you can take advantage of the game’s upgrades, which include a world size 36 times larger than on PS3.
