Everton defender Leighton Baines says that they will not be taking anything for granted when they face Crystal Palace at the weekend.
The Toffees are heavy favourites to win Sunday's fixture at Goodison Park, but their captain insists that they won't be taking Palace lightly.
“They [Crystal Palace] have got some really threatening players," Baines said to the club's official website. "They have got some good attacking options and will be really keen to get their season started.
“But, we are equally as keen to build on our last couple of good results. Particularly in the league, it is important we get our form going.”
Palace lost Tony Pulis, who performed miracles with the side last season, and they still appear to be recovering from the set-back.
Although they have proven tough to beat over the opening few games of the Premier League season, the Eagles are still looking for their first win and that needs to come sooner rather than later to avoid pressure building on them.
Baines is right that they have some quality - with the likes of Dwight Gayle and Wilfried Zaha two of their more obvious stars, but Everton will be disappointed not to pick up the three points in the fixture.
The Merseyside outfit have started to gain momentum after a slow start and they will be looking to carry that into the fixture.
Roberto Martinez's side could not pick up a victory in their first three top-flight matches, but triumphs over West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League and Wolfsbur, in the Europa League this week have enhanced confidence again, and they will be looking to use this to their advantage on Sunday.
