Even Pointless star Richard Osman was happy to see the back of Felix Magath...
And so it's official: Felix Magath's reign as Fulham manager has finally come to an end.
Although it seemed more a case of 'when' not 'if' when results started to go against the German in the Championship.
After seven league games this season, Magath managed to attain just one point at Fulham, with six defeats and one draw leaving the Cottagers bottom of the table. And the 61-year-old didn't help his cause with a series of questionable decisions, notably when it came to selecting an inconsistent starting line-up and picking several players out of position.
The writing, however, was arguably on the wall before Magath even took charge of a game at Craven Cottage, with many in Germany warning of his inhumane and outdated managerial methods.
Quotes from former Fulham captain Brede Hangeland and defender John Arne Riise seemed to back those warnings up when they left the club - and owner Shahid Khan seemed to pay the price for every game he kept Magath in charge.
Supporters in west London are understandably happy, for - as harsh as it is to single out an individual for criticism - no one seemed to deserve the sack quite like the 61-year-old. By the end of his tenure at Fulham, it seemed there was no one he hadn't picked a fight with, including former Fulham owner Mohamed Al Fayed.
Now, he will merely be an afterthought. But the Cottagers face a long battle to undo the damage Magath has caused, although he was certainly not the first manager to oversee Fulham's current decline.
Here are a selection of the best fan reactions on Twitter - including one from Pointless's very own Richard Osman. Look away now, Mr Magath...
Ding dong the witch is dead! Bye Magath, thanks for nothing! #kitsymonsblackandwhitearmy— Charlie Whelton (@cwhelton) September 18, 2014
Never nice to see a manager go because it usally means we are in trouble. Met Magath once and liked him, but too many odd decisons.— MJG (@1966MJG) September 18, 2014
