A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that Diego Costa is only fit enough to play once per week.
The Portuguese coach says the forward picked the problem up with the Spanish national team during the recent international break.
“When he came to us he was completely fine. He got the problem with the national team. If he has one week to let the muscle recover he can start,” said Mourinho.
Chelsea forward Didier Drogba says he’s looking forward to facing old teammate Frank Lampard this weekend.
Chelsea travel to Manchester City in arguably the biggest game of the season so far.
“I can't wait to see him - my partner in crime. It is a pity that I came back and he's not here any more, but I will be happy to see him,” said Drogba.
Drogba has also revealed his belief that Costa is the striker who can drive the club forward this season.
Drogba has suggested that Costa’s hunger to score and succeed is the best thing for the team.
“Like me, he came to this level a little bit late. When I look at him, I can see the desire to win every challenge, to score goals. He's very good. He's hungry for goals and that's the best thing for a team like us,” he said.
