Deila hails Gordon
Ronny Deila has hailed Craig Gordon after his impressive performance for Celtic last night.
Gordon made a series of stunning saves during the match to earn the Bhoys a 2-2 draw with Salzburg in the Europa League and Deila has spoken of his delight with the Scottish stopper.
"Craig’s performance was just marvellous,’ Deila said to the Daily Mail. "I think he has been good all season but he’s progressing all the time and getting better and better.
"He is a top professional and a fantastic man, a good boy. I am so glad to have him in the group."
Deila happy with point.
Ronny Deila says he is happy with the point that Celtic got from their opening Europa League clash.
The Bhoys picked up a 2-2 draw against Salzburg in Europe's secondary competition and Deila says he is happy with the draw, despite seeing his side take the lead twice.
"It was a good result, they are a good team and were difficult to play against, they played with high intensity and have very fit and quick players," Deila said to Sky Sports.
McCoist not getting carried away
Ally McCoist says that he is not getting carried away, despite Rangers' excellent form since the start of the season.
The 'Gers are unbeaten since an opening day defeat to Hearts, but McCoist insists that he is not getting over-confident.
"We've lost one game this season and in that we lost a goal in the 94th minute. It was a game we could have won," he said to the Evening Times.
"I was never going to start pressing panic buttons then in the same way I'm not going to start getting carried away with a couple of good results.
"The season is a marathon and I've maintained right through that the league is the main priority for us.
"I think we played much better as a team today. But it was important to get the point. Before the game we spoke about getting something from it."
