Ashley Young has been speaking about THAT incident against Swansea City.
On the opening day of the season, in a moment that typified the early struggles in Manchester United's campaign, Ashley Young suffered an embarrassing and rather vile moment during the home loss to Swansea City.
Haven't seen it, here you go...
It certainly appears that whilst barking instructions at his team-mates Young unfortunately found his mouth made an excellent toilet for a an over-flying bird.
Pigeon's are commonplace at the Premier League grounds the length and breadth of the country so it would certainly seem the culprit in this case - although others have cited seagull or sparrow as other potential antagonists.
Now, Young has finally spoken about the incident insisting that he had no idea what had happened, but that his team-mates still found the funny side of it.
In quotes published by the Manchester Evening News, set to be broadcast on tomorrow morning's Soccer AM, the England winger stated:
"I need to put it out there, I don't actually know. I don't know what happened. You would have seen a reaction from me. I've seen the video about 100 times. I don't know what it was. I need to get to the bottom of it.
"After it actually happened - I don't know who it was and I need to get to the bottom of this as well - above my locker there was a pigeon put up. I was walking in and thought 'oh no'. And that was it, everyone started taking pictures of it. Everyone thinks it actually happened. I don't know, I couldn't tell you."
So draw your own conclusions, not that we all haven't already.
