Neil Redfearn has been speaking at a press conference prior to Leeds United's weekend match against Huddersfield.
The Whites impressed in mid-week, winning 3-1 away to Bournemouth after a late three-goal haul, and Redfearn will be hoping to continue that good form when his side welcomes the side currently 22nd in the league to Elland Road.
Redfearn remains in temporary charge of the club while Massimo Cellino continues his search for a new permanent boss, and it appears the former player is taking it very much game-by-game.
When asked if he would be in charge on Saturday Redfearn said, “I don’t know. I presume so.”
He also revealed what he thought was his big advantage as he guides the club through what has been a difficult time.
“I think the advantage perhaps I’ve got is that I’ve been at the club a while now and obviously I know the young players inside out,” he said.
“I’ve had maybe the first hand of the lads that have come in pre-season from afar just to see what they’re about. So I’m in half a position perhaps to sort of put things together and do things about it.”
That certainly appears to be the case, as a 1-1 draw with Birmingham City last weekend was followed by that mid-week victory.
Now it is on to the next match, but if Redfearn’s impressive streak continues, Cellino will have yet another decision to make.
