West Ham United’s players have been training in preparation for their next match – a home game against Liverpool on Saturday.
The Hammers came from behind to draw 2-2- with Hull City on Monday, and Sam Allardyce will be hoping for more of that fighting spirit when Brendan Rodgers’ side comes to town.
New West Ham signings Morgan Amilfitano and Mauro Zarate were among the players involved in training on Thursday, with the French midfielder on cross-taking duty and the Argentine forward showing some skill against goalkeeper Adrian.
Another Hammers star received good news today, after it was announced that Diafra Sakho will be credited with the effort that was initially recorded as a Curtis Davies own-goal on Monday.
Along with fellow new front-man Enner Valencia, Sakho will be hoping to continue his goal-scoring form against Liverpool in Saturday’s late kick-off. The players certainly looked in fine fettle in training, but they will know the Reds will be desperate for a win of their own after losing to Aston Villa last weekend.
