Manchester United latest: Ferdinand 'loved every minute' at Old Trafford, Nani angry at Sporting?

The latest Manchester United news, views and rumours.

Rio Ferdinand

Queens Park Rangers defender Rio Ferdinand has been reflecting on his time at Manchester United.

The 35-year-old left Old Trafford for QPR this summer but admits he 'loved every minute' of his time at United.

"It was weird because I always used to be a bit bitter about Manchester United as they always used to win all the time," he told MUTV.

"I used to think 'I hate Man United' because I was jealous and I wanted to be a part of winning something - they were always in the way.

"And then, when I got the opportunity to come to United, it was just like 'I have to go, I have to be there.' That's why I play football.

"So I went - and I loved every minute of it."

Things don't appear so rosy for another former United player, however, as Nani is said to be angry at current club Sporting Lisbon.

According to A Bola, as translated by Sport Witness, the Portuguese winger is unhappy at not having been allowed to speak to Slovenian media.

Nani apparently tried to be polite and speak to the Slovenian press after his side's 1-1 draw at Maribor but Lisbon were said to have prevented him from doing so.

Nani is still on Manchester United's books as his move to Sporting was only on loan, while United are reportedly paying all £4.8 million of his yearly wages.
