Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has been name checked by German national sporting director.
Hansi Flick was speaking to BILD about the top prospects coming through the ranks, and included the former Bayer Leverkusen midfielder in his assessment.
He said: "The past has shown that the talent of the under-21s can progress in the senior team.
"We have a lot of really good football player with a tremendous quality to their positions. Examples are Robin Knoche, Moritz Leitner, Jonas Hofmann, Amin Younes and Emre Can."
Can has 11 caps for Germany at under-21 level but is yet to make it into the senior squad.
He featured twice for Liverpool during August, both times as a substitute before picking up an injury on international duty.
He was seen leaving the club's training ground on crutches this week, with the ankle injury expected to sideline him for six week.
