When Liverpool owner John W. Henry posted an article about the ‘God Particle’ on his Twitter page, he probably did not expect to be flooded with messages from the club’s fans to sign Marco Reus.
But that’s exactly what happened.
Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Reus was linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
The Reds were looking to reinforce their squad following a second-place finish in the Premier League in 2013-14 and direct qualification to the Champions League group stage for the 2014-15 campaign.
Reus was also reportedly on the radars of Manchester United and Barcelona, but the Germany international eventually remained at the Bundesliga club.
However, it seems that some Liverpool fans still want the Merseyside outfit to make a move for Reus in January, to which the club’s owner has reacted in a humorous way.
