Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has been speaking ahead of Saturday's match against Stoke City.

As Queens Park Rangers prepare to face Stoke City in the Premier League this weekend, the club’s manager Harry Redknapp has praised the progress of Mark Hughes’ side.

QPR host Stoke in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off, knowing that they must get some wins on the board as soon as possible after slipping to 16th in the table.

Stoke are just one point and two places above them, and yet speaking ahead of the match, Redknapp revealed where he believed Hughes’ men could finish come May.

In quotes published by QPR’s official Twitter account, Redknapp said, “I can see Stoke finishing in the top half this season. They’ve got a good squad and they’ve made some top signings.”

One of those players – Mame Biram Diouf – has already proved what he is capable of after his solo run and goal saw Stoke take an unlikely three points away from the Etihad Stadium last month.

And Redknapp will know his side will have it anything but easy against the Potters.

“I watched them last week against Leicester and thought they were unlucky,” he said. “It’ll be a tough game.”

Tough it may be, but after losing 4-0 to Manchester United last time out, and winning just one of their opening four league matches, QPR must pick up points sooner rather than later, so what better place to start than at Loftus Road this weekend?
