A select round-up of the latest news relating to Chelsea

The reaction to Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with FC Schalke in the Champions League dominates the back pages today, with Blues boss Jose Mourinho revealing that he has concerns over Diego Costa’s ability to play more than one game a week at the moment.

The comments come after the Spanish international was not in Chelsea’s starting XI for their match against the German side.

However, if the one match he plays a week sees him grab a hat-trick as he did against Swansea City last weekend, fans will not be complaining while he builds up his fitness.

In other news, Chelsea have been linked with a move for Julian Brandt.

According to a report in the Mirror, the Blues and Liverpool are both tracking the 18-year-old Bayer Leverkusen midfielder.

But where he would fit in Mourinho’s already considerable first-team squad remains to be seen.

And finally, Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has said his side has to beat Chelsea this weekend.

The two title rivals go head-to-head on Sunday, and in quotes published on City’s official website, the England stopper said, “We need to win, it’s a close Premier League, they are a title rival, and we need to beat them.”
