All the latest news and gossip from The Emirates Stadium this morning.

Arsenal are being linked with a shock interest for two former Premier League defenders. It comes after injury to Mathieu Debuchy last week and Hector Bellerin struggled during his recent outing against Borussia Dortmund.

That means they are lacking in the defensive department which has seen them linked with a move for two free agents in Joseph Yobo and Diego Lugano.

Both players struggled in the Premier League with Norwich City and West Brom last term so it would come as a surprise if Arsenal moved in on the players.

Arsene Wenger is more than likely to continue backing the likes of Hector Bellerin at right-back and also has utility man Mathieu Flamini who can fill in at several positions - so the potential signature of Yobo or Lugano would certainly appear to be clutching at straws.

Arsenal are also being linked with a January pursuit for Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama. The Gunners were linked with the Kenyan enforcer last summer when he was at Celtic. But Southampton got the star and now Arsenal want to have a second crack at bringing him to The Emirates.

Wanyama would reportedly be worth upward of £15 million in January.

Finally and Arsenal are being linked with a shock move for former midfielder Lassana Diarra. the former French international is a free agent after cancelling his contract with Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow last month.

Diarra was at The Emirates previously but made just eight appearances after joining from Chelsea.
