Nottingham Forest are facing up to life without captain Chris Cohen.
The midfielder went down injured against Derby County at the weekend, and last night assistant manager Steve Wigley confirmed Cohen had suffered an ACL injury.
Staggeringly, it is the third of his career, with Cohen's season last year ending in November due to his misfortune.
As the numbers from his performances so far this season illustrate, Cohen was in impressive form.
Cohen had won 17 tackles this season, which even after seven games, with Cohen playing five, and 14 minutes of a sixth, still ranked him in the top 10 Championship performers.
In terms of chances created, Cohen ranks inside the top 30 players in the Championship this season on a per game basis, and the third best in the Forest squad behind Andy Reid and Michail Antonio.
Losing him for the season is a serious disappointment, from a footballing perspective as well as emotionally.
