Mauricio Pochettino’s side start their Group C campaign with a match on Thursday evening, before they go on to face Besiktas and Asteras Tripolis.
Tottenham have had a mixed start to their Premier League campaign, winning their opening two matches without conceding a goal before slipping to defeat against Liverpool and letting in a late equaliser against Sunderland last weekend.
But they will be hoping to get back to winning ways on Thursday, knowing that an away day in Belgrade is anything but easy.
Eriksen could prove to be the key man on Thursday, and it will be interesting to see if he can move up another level this season, both domestically and in Europe.
If he can, and his teammates follow suit, there is no reason why Tottenham cannot be challenging for a trophy in the business-end of the campaign.
