Bournemouth laid out purple towels for their match last night, but their mind-games didn't have a successful outcome as they lost 3-1.
It seems that Bournemouth's mind-games failed to have the desired effect last night, as they laid out purple towels for their Elland Road visitors.
Whites owner Massimo Cellino famously hates the colour, considering it unlucky, and Bournemouth appeared to be aiming to play on this fact.
They gave each player a purple towel in the dressing room, but if it was supposed to play on the Whites' squads' minds it didn't work.
Instead, the Whites put in their best performance of the season against the Cherries and won 3-1 at the Goldsands Stadium to pick up a very credible three points.
The goals were scored by three summer signings as Souleymane Doukara, Guiseppe Bellusci and Mirco Antenucci provided caretaker manager Neil Redfearn with his second win since taking temporary charge.
Redfearn has now delivered seven points from his three games in charge and there is a growing clamour for his to take the managerial post in a permanent basis from supporters, although Cellino looks likely to appoint a foreign coach instead.
