'On our way' - Infamous former Arsenal striker ready for Everton test

Nicklas Bendtner will get the chance to prove some English doubters wrong tomorrow evening.

Tomorrow night Everton are back in European action for the first time since the 2009-10 season. Everton have not played in the competition since they were defeated 3-0 by Sporting Lisbon in the final 32 of the UEFA Europa League.

They welcome the Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg to Goodison Park tomorrow evening - inclusing a fairly well known, perhaps even notorious, former Premier League striker.

Nicklas Bendtner finally got his move from Arsenal this summer, when his contract at The Emirates Stadium expired.

He spurned multiple opportunities to remain in the UK in order to make the switch to the Bundesliga outfit - where he now plays wearing the inexplicable number for a striker ... '3'.

But Bendtner certainly seems excited for his return to these shores. He has taken to Twitter and Instagram to share a picture of him in transit for tomorrow's crunch tie - where he will be hoping to prove a few English fans wrong.

Everton will certainly want to stop Bendtner from doing the business tomorrow night.
