All the latest news, views and transfer rumours from the KC Stadium…

Hull City striker Abel Hernandez has been speaking after his goal-scoring debut for the Tigers on Monday evening.

In an interview with the club’s official website, the former Palermo man said, “It was a good start and I enjoyed my first game for Hull City.

“I live to score goals and to score one in my first game for this club made me very happy.”

Hull’s club-record signing will have plenty of weight on his shoulders going forward, but he has avoided the curse of so many strikers arriving in the Premier League by netting swiftly. Now the trick is to do it regularly.

In other news, Egyptian businessman Mohamed Farag Amer has denied reports he wants to buy Hull.

As reported by the Hull Daily Mail, the food tycoon told newspaper Ahram, “These are just rumours. I know some of the presidents of the Premier League clubs but it is just a personal relationship.

“I am proud to be an Egyptian self-made businessman and I have no plans to work outside Egypt.”
