German side Schalke are considering signing former Tottenham Hotspur player Reto Ziegler.
Schalke's injury crisis has led them to consider former Tottenham Hotspur full-back Reto Ziegler.
Ziegler is still only 28-years-old, making his bow at Spurs as a teenager.
He was released by Juventus during the summer after three years at the club, most of which he spent out on loan at Sassuolo, Fenerbahce and Lokomotiv Moscow.
Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio reports Champions League side Schalke are looking at the former Swiss international to add to their current options.
Their interest is brought about by an injury suffered to German World Cup star Benedikt Howedes.
Ziegler has previous experience of playing in the Bundesliga with Hamburg, during a spell on loan away from Tottenham.
