Birmingham City fans directed their frustration at manager Lee Clark following Tuesday night's 2-0 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.
Birmingham City dominated the first-half of Tuesday night’s Championship class against Sheffield Wednesday, but a poor second 45-minute spell saw the Blues succumb to their first home league defeat of the season.
Goals through striker Stevie May in the 67th-minute and Frenchman Jeremy Helan one minute before the end leave Steve Clark’s side in 20th-place in the table on six points from their seven matches, and the manager was at a loss to explain the erratic performance.
‘Real Jekyll and Hyde,’ he told the Birmingham Mail. ‘First-half we should have gone in at least 1-0 up, second-half we stopped doing all the good things we did in the first-half.
‘Yes, we understand that Sheffield Wednesday were going to come more into the game, but they more or less dominated the half.
‘With the exception of the sidefoot volley the number nine has put just past the post for them, we were in control of the first-half, but you can’t be doing that first-half and be so different second-half.
‘We stopped doing everything that we had been doing well.’
Fans were none too pleased at their team’s collapse either, with few standout performers in the lineup, and the reaction shows that must believe the former Huddersfield Town boss's time should be up.
just got back can't justify all this travelling to watch a team who basically don't know how to win or score in games Clark must go now

Not one player excites me in that team. What I'd give for someone like Zigic to change a game, bring some excitement back #bcfc

Promising first half. Too many anonymous players second half and we paid for it. Need to bounce back against Norwich #bcfc

#bcfc fans. Stop thinking tonight is ok. Stop being apathetic. What is a football fan without passion? It was awful. Demand better. #kro

It's almost laughable what's happening to #bcfc. The sickening, not quite believing, laugh so you don't cry, type of laughable.

Is there any #BCFC fan left who can defend Lee Clark, and actually wants him as the manager of our club?
— Adam Hennessey (@9_Hendo) September 16, 2014
And there we go, the full #bcfc #GroundhogDay experience - wasteful when on top in first half, costly errors in a flat 2nd half. #homewoes
— Richard Wilford (@wilfordwm) September 16, 2014
It appears Clark's half-time chat was: "stop defending, stop attacking, stop midfielding"! #bcfc #blueslive
