Tottenham Hotspur loanee Lewis Holtby is dealing with upheaval just one game into his Bundesliga adventure.
The midfielder made his debut for Hamburg at the weekend as they lost 2-0 to Hannover, and coach Mirko Slomka was fired a day later.
Hamburg, who finished 16th in the Bundesliga last season, sit bottom of the division after three games with only point point.
Holtby has been beset by bad luck since leaving Schalke, playing under numerous managers.
Signed by Andre Villas-Boas, he has also been under the management of Tim Sherwood and Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham.
At Fulham he was signed on loan by Rene Meulensteen only for Felix Magath to be appointed days later, and now Mirko Slomka has been fired at Hamburg.
That means he will be playing under his seventh manager in 18 months when Hamburg appoint their replacement, and he will have to hope he has the faith of their new manager.
If not then another frustrating season awaits for the 23-year-old, but he is due a bit of luck, and so perhaps this time, it will work in his favour.
