Arsenal were woeful in the first half of their Champions League test against Borussia Dortmund.
Arsenal took on Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park this evening, Tuesday, buoyed by their 2-2 display against Manchester City on Saturday.
However, their performance against the Bundesliga giants was a contrast in style as not only was Arsene Wenger's 4-1-4-1 formation guilty of allowing Dortmund to counter-attack at the end of the first-half, but such a break saw BvB capitalise by taking the lead.
Arsenal's problems were not exclusive to the defence, as the midfield failed to keep possession.
Three key Gunners such as Mikel Arteta, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere all registered woeful passing accuracy statistics for the first half.
Wilshere only completed 73% of his pass attempts, Ramsey just 60% but Arteta was worse off with just 58%, according to Opta's Content Director.
