Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp is one of the most charismatic football managers in Europe.
The 47-year-old’s press conferences are entertaining more often than not, and some of his comments are ‘gold’; one could even say that Klopp is the German version of Jose Mourinho.
Klopp was once again having fun and enjoying himself during a press conference on Monday. It was on the eve of Dortmund’s opening Champions League Group D clash against Arsenal at Signal Iduna Park.
The former Mainz player looked at ease and without any pressure, as he was smiling and laughing during the media briefing.
But will Klopp be laughing at the end of tonight’s match? He will certainly hope so.
‘The Champions League begins now and it will be a tough start’, Uefa.com quotes Klopp as saying. ‘We want to be as aggressive as we can.
‘We have to concentrate on the main attributes you need when playing football. Then we will have to be tactically clever to nullify their way of playing’.
Dortmund have been struck by a number of injuries, including those to Marco Reus, Mats Hummels and Jakub Błaszczykowski.
The Bundesliga outfit do still have a strong team that includes former Manchester United attacking midfielder Shinji Kagawa and Armenian star Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Arsenal will not find it easy to pick up even a point against Dortmund tonight.
