Hearthstone tweets a thank you to players as the game’s player base doubles at a scarily fast rat
Blizzard’s free to play digital card game Hearthstone has managed to attract 20 million players from around the world. This represents a doubling of registered player accounts since Blizzard announced in March that the game had drawn in 10 million players.
Since then Hearthstone’s first expansion, Curse of Naxxramas has launched, bringing along 30 new cards and new single player challenges.
Looking ahead Blizzard plan much more for the game including an Observer mode, new daily quests and a bigger expansion bringing in over 100 new cards.
Blizzard recently announced they are going to nerf the Leeroy Jenkins and Starving Buzzard cards ahead of the Hearthstone World Championships to be held at BlizzCon in November.
