An exciting player with an eye for the spectacular, former Hammer Trevor Sinclair has praised new signing Enner Valencia.
The Ecuadorian international netted on his debut against Hull, with a powerful shot opposition manager Steve Bruce described as a 'wondergoal'.
Sinclair used his Twitter feed to praise Valencia's strike, commenting that the effort reminded him of another former West Ham hero.
Sinclair also had kind words to say regarding new signing Alex Song, who came off the bench in the second half, and manager Sam Allardyce, who he is convinced is showing he is the right man for the job.
West Ham could really have won it at the end, and while a 2-2 draw at Hull won't win over those who doubt Allardyce, there's no denying the new signings looked exciting and the Hammers have plenty to look forward to over the season ahead.
