The Italian champions are overwhelming favourites to begin their Champions League campaign with a victory over Malmo and Carlos Tevez has a point to prove.
Tevez was lethal in Serie A last season with the Argentine striker forming a devastating partnership with Fernando Llorente.
A total of 1988 days have passed since that goal and the figure must be weighing on Tevez's mind.
Tevez at least managed to score in the Europa League last season against Benfica in the semi-final but his European return in total is just seven in 52 games, not impressive for a player of his level.
Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri will put his faith in Tevez in the Champions League but will also have £15.8 million summer signing Alvaro Morata at his disposal after he recovered from a knee injury.
Juventus (probable): Buffon; Caceres, Bonucci, Chiellini; Lichtsteiner, Asamoah, Marchisio, Pogba, Evra; Tevez, Llorente
