A round up of news stories this morning about Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger insists his side can cope with a long injury list.
Nacho Monreal and Calum Chambers missed training with the Gunners yesterday while Mathieu Debuchy has been ruled out for at least the next two months.
Olivier Giroud, Yaya Sanogo and Theo Walcott are also still in the treatment room as they fight to return to the first team.
Should Chambers not be fit enough to take his place against Borussia Dortmund, youngster Hector Bellerin could step in.
Bellerin is one of the most highly rated products of Arsenal’s youth team system.
Another alternative is dropping Frenchman Mathieu Flamini into the right-back slot and moving Mikel Arteta back into midfield.
Former Arsenal defender Lee Dixon has suggested that Arsenal are capable of pushing for the Champions League title.
Dixon suggests that the work Wenger did in the summer transfer market has put the side in a much better position.
“I think they are better equipped with the signings. Especially Welbeck who could really flourish under Wenger. Alexis will help with his quality too. Potential surprise package in the latter stages,” said Dixon.
