Player finds tribute to Halo's Master Chief in Destiny

Bungie created the Halo franchise back in 2001, and it's no surprise there's a tribute to that series in their new IP, Destiny.

The Halo games cemented Bungie as a big contender in the videogames industry, first releasing Halo: Combat Evolved on Microsoft's Xbox way back in 2001. It appears that Bungie's latest IP, Destiny, has a sneaky reference to the hero of their previous games, Master Chief.

Redditor SmokingGhost has taken a screenshot in Destiny which appears to show the Master Chief's helmet disguised as a building. Many people have claimed to spot references to the Halo series within Destiny, but this one is by far the most clear.

The 'Master Chief' building is located on Mars during the Strike mission. We'd say the similarities are pretty much spot on, what do you think?

Destiny is available now on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
