The likes of Danny Welbeck, Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla, Mikel Arteta and Lukas Podolski were all snapped as Arsenal prepared for their opening Champions League group stage fixture.
The Gunners take on Borussia Dortmund knowing that a tough test awaits them in Germany.
Dortmund are arguably the best side in Arsenal's group and any point which they can take away from the Westfalenstadion will be seen as a good one.
A draw would be a positive outcome from the game although, of course, Arsene Wenger will still be hoping for the three points.
The Gunners are unbeaten this season, but there is still a sense more is to come from the side who are in a better position than they have been in a number of seasons.
Wenger spent big over the summer to enhance the quality of his squad as they look to compete domestically and in Europe.
Fans of the club are desperate for their first Champions League trophy, while a return to Premier League winning ways is also yearned for by the supporters at the Emirates Stadium.
They have made a decent start to life in England's top flight so far, but will now be looking to show they can mix it with Europe's best too.
