The arrival of Radamel Falcao on a season-long loan deal from AS Monaco has been welcomed by the Manchester United fans.
After all, the Red Devils have acquired the services of one of the best strikers in the world for a reported loan fee of just £6 million.
However, there have been some concerns raised on how United manager Louis van Gaal will be able to fit Falcao into his starting line-up.
There have also been suggestions that Robin van Persie’s place in the team is under threat from the Colombian star.
The Netherlands international striker struggled with injuries and underwhelming form last season. And with Falcao back to full fitness and already among the goals for Monaco in Ligue 1, some have claimed that the former Arsenal captain may have to play second fiddle to him as the season progresses.
Whether that happens or not remains to be seen, but from the picture below it is pretty much clear that Van Persie does not feel threatened or bear ill-feeling towards Falcao.
On Sunday night, the United duo had dinner with former Netherlands international striker Patrick Kluivert, and everyone enjoyed the occasion.
Falcao did not start the Premier League match against Queens Park Rangers at Old Trafford on Sunday, but came on as a substitute midway through the second half.
Both the former Atletico Madrid star and Van Persie were on the pitch for the remainder of the game, as United eased to a 4-0 victory to kick-start their quest for Premier League glory.
