Angel di Maria made his home debut for Manchester United on Sunday, and what a debut it was! (click here to read more)
The Argentina international winger was easily the best player on the Old Trafford pitch against Queens Park Rangers and also the most flamboyant.
The 26-year-old former Real Madrid star scored a goal and provided an assist (although it was a misplaced shot that kindly fell into the path of Juan Mata), as the Red Devils eased past their opponents 4-0 in the Premier League.

Di Maria’s arrival last month may have been overshadowed by the truly brilliant coup of signing Radamel Falcao on a season-long loan deal from AS Monaco on transfer deadline day, but it was he who ran the show on Sunday.
The £59.7m summer signing was eventually substituted in the 82nd minute, after which he went to manager Louis van Gaal to shake his hands. The Dutchman kept hold of Di Maria’s hands for a second more than expected - perhaps an indication how much he appreciated and enjoyed his performance against QPR.
That moment captures the bond between Van Gaal and his United players. Having been appointed the Red Devils boss in May, the 63-year-old has made a number of changes to his squad.
A number of players have left, including Danny Welbeck (Arsenal), Alexander Buttner (Dynamo Moscow) and Patrice Evra (Juventus), while some top-class signings have been made.
The players who remain in the United squad seem to have bought Van Gaal’s philosophy and are working hard for their manager.
