Chelsea are set to reward star forward Eden Hazard with a new contract, according to reports.
The Daily Mail claim the Belgian international is "close" to agreeing a five year contract that will see the player receive £10 million a year… that's £200,000 per week.
Other speculation of the day includes transfer rumours, with Dolce Sport claiming that teenage talent Cristian Manea, a 17-year-old right back, is set to leave Viitorul Constanta in order to join Chelsea (probably for one hour) before departing to Vitesse Arnham (who else?) on a loan basis.
Meanwhile, manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that he had an "unknown" talent scouted over the past few months.
Talisca, a 20-year-old midfielder, transferred to Benfica via Bahia in July, would have "work permit problems" if he was to secure a switch to England but that has not deterred "several English clubs" from monitoring his development.
Chelsea are one of those clubs: "Some say he's unknown," commented Mourinho on TVI24. "He's so unknown the only thing stopping him from playing in England is work permit.
"Good English clubs wanted him, and they even wanted to sign him and loan him out so he could get a work permit later."
Creative midfielder Francesc Fabregas, who returned a brace of assists against Swansea City, has commented that Arsenal dropping points against Manchester City is fantastic.
And finally, returning king Didier Drogba is determined to win the Champions League… again.
