Hull City face West Ham United this evening in what could be the first chance for Tigers fans to see some of their summer signings.
In early team news, the BBC reports that Mohamed Diame is in line for a debut against his former club, but that Abel Hernandez is yet to receive his work permit following a £10million switch from Palermo.
It is also being reported that loan signings Gaston Ramirez and Hatem Ben Arfa are currently lacking match-fitness, although it remains to be seen if Steve Bruce will take a chance on one or both from the bench.
West Ham could include both Alex Song and Morgan Amilfitano for the match at the KC Stadium.
In other news, Bruce has been speaking to Sky Sports about Ben Arfa, and while revealing he is unlikely to start against West Ham, he said the Frenchman will be vital over the whole season.
“He’s going to have a big part to play here because he gives us the flexibility to play whatever formation we like.”
For now Hull fans may have to make do with seeing just one debutant this evening, but it is only a matter of time before the other deadline-day arrivals join him on the pitch.
