Manchester United defeated Queens Park Rangers 4-0 on Sunday, so how did their players react after the game?

Manchester United’s players took to social media following their 4-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers on Sunday, expressing their delight at a job very well done.

United manager Louis van Gaal handed debuts to summer signings Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo, before the man everyone wanted to see – Radamel Falcao – arrived as a second-half substitute.

The Colombian was not the man to make the difference; that honour went to Angel Di Maria, the Argentine making his first home appearance and giving his fans a show-reel of what he is capable of.

It was the club-record signing who scored the opening goal, before Ander Herrera, Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata added to it.

There could have been more, and if United keep playing like this, the fear-factor will be well and truly back at Old Trafford.

After the match, Blind took to Twitter to write, ‘A very nice debut, a great atmosphere and a top team performance.’

Goal-scorer Herrera reiterated the feeling of a combined effort, writing, ‘Great team effort by whole team and an important win to keep on improving. Amazing atmosphere at Old Trafford.’

Rooney and David de Gea also revealed their joy at the victory, while Mata thanked Di Maria for the assist that set up the Spaniard’s goal.

Next up is Leicester City away, and given what they saw on Sunday United fans surely cannot wait.
