Top five stats from Manchester United's emphatic 4-0 victory over QPR

Manchester United won for the first time this season as their new-look side tore apart a lacklustre QPR at Old Trafford.

Here are the top five stats from the Red Devils' impressive victory:

1) With his strike in this match, Wayne Rooney equalled Thierry Henry's record of 175 goals to become the joint-3rd all-time record Premier League scorer. Only Alan Shearer (260) and Andy Cole (187) have hit the back of the net on a greater number of occasions.

2) United's new-boys created Marcos Rojo, Ander Herrera, Daley Blind, Angel Di Maria & Radamel Falcao managed 335 completed passes, 9 chances & 1 assist between them - by no means a bad introduction to life at Old Trafford. Ander Herrera particularly impressed, scoring a well-taken goal to cap a man-of-the-match performance.

3) Herrera created more chances than any other player involved at Old Trafford today, he fashioned four key passes and recorded one assist. He also successfully completed 91% of his attempts to find a team-mate. Meanwhile, Angel Di Maria came a close second, creating a further three chances.

4) Daley Blind had a debut to remember. He proved his composure in possession recording 122 touches - along with Jonny Evans, the most of any United player - and more passes, 112, than anyone on the pitch. He proved extremely influential in midfield, with his presence allowing his attacking team-mates to concentrate solely on getting forward.

5) Juan Mata has now scored 8 goals in his last 10 Premier League appearances for Man United, while Wayne Rooney has scored or assisted 15 goals in his last 20 league matches.
