Stuart Pearce's side have got off to a flying start in the Championship this season, beating the likes of Blackpool, Bournemouth, Reading and Sheffield Wednesday and drawing with Bolton Wanderers on their way to 13 points from a possible 15 as Forest took the Championship top spot early on in the season.
Today's game provided a tough test though, as local rivals Derby travelled to face them at The City Ground, and despite Britt Assombalonga giving Forest the lead with just 18 minutes to play, the Rams took a point back to Derby with them after Leon Best scrambled the ball home in the 82nd minute.
However, the game was somewhat overshadowed by yet another injury to Forest captain Chris Cohen. The former West Ham midfielder has had rotten luck in the last couple of years with knee injuries, and it seems like another one has struck the 27-year-old down.
In 2011, Cohen suffered knee ligament damage against Derby, ruling him out of action for a year, before cruciate ligament damage just two years later. Now, Cohen went down with another knee injury today, with many Forest fans fearing that he may have sustained further ligament damage.
Here are a selection of tweets from Forest fans who have been hoping for the best with Cohen, but many acknowledge that if the injury is serious, then his career could be over prematurely.
Feel like Cohen will retire if its his knee again :( hope he still has a role with the club if he does #nffc— Tom Horseman (@TomHorseman) September 14, 2014
